Trading Account Growth Simulator
The trading account growth simulator projects how your account balance grows over months based on your trading statistics. Enter your win rate, average risk/reward ratio, and trades per month — the simulator shows the expected trajectory of your account, assuming 1% risk per trade and consistent performance. This is a powerful motivational and planning tool.
Assumes 1% risk per trade (fixed fraction). Projection shows expected value — actual results vary with variance.

Formula
Expectancy per trade = (Win Rate × R:R × 1%) − (Loss Rate × 1%)
Monthly balance growth factor = (1 + Expectancy) ^ Trades per Month
New Balance = Previous Balance × Monthly Growth FactorThe simulator assumes a fixed 1% account risk per trade. Expectancy per trade is the expected percentage gain or loss per trade. Multiplying by trades per month and compounding over each month gives the projected trajectory. This represents the mathematical expected value — real results will vary due to the randomness of win/loss sequences.
Worked Example
Starting balance: $10,000 Win rate: 55% | R:R: 2:1 | Risk: 1% per trade Trades per month: 20 Expectancy = (0.55 × 2 × 1%) − (0.45 × 1%) = 1.10% − 0.45% = 0.65% per trade Monthly growth ≈ 1.0065^20 ≈ 1.138 (+13.8%/month in expectancy) Month 12 projected balance: ~$43,000 Note: Actual results include variance — some months will be higher, some lower.
